Ja Nene Natural Body Products was started in 2003 to blend natural oils and butters for my family. After discovering they were amazingly effective and affordable, I was encouraged by family and friends to sell locally. A limited number of products were also put on eBay. Response has been great, considering the thousands of alternate choices available. In 2005, Ja Nene actively worked to pass the California Safe Cosmetics law with other Californians. This led to California passing the nation's first safe cosmetic laws demanding full accountability for ingredient labelling. Ja Nene also uses the EWG's Skin Deep ingedient database to select the safest ingredients, and researches scientific studies supporting safe usage. Ja Nene ingredients are tested by the manufacturers, and locally tested for over a year before sale to the public. For more info, go to EWG.org. Customer relations are very valuable in creating and improving this product line, so personal service is the framework we always work within. Inside that framework, we carefully create safe, affordable, and effective natural skin care products. We don't "deal" with customers, we ENJOY them! Orders are processed and mailed quickly (usually within 1 business day) and as economically as possible. Currently, we are mailing to United States destinations, including Alaska and Hawaii, but international customers are encouraged to request a shipping quote. We also supply wholesale to salons, spas, and gift shops with a minimum $50 order. Our wholesale customers enjoy special pricing and a range of options for labelling.

Keeping Ja Nene products affordable is a big challenge. There are many good natural and organic skin care companies selling quality skin care products. Unfortunately, few of us can afford them. Ja Nene uses organic ingredients where feasable, and premium quality natural ingredients from trusted sources. Packaging is kept simple, advertising kept at a minimum, all to keep prices affordable for customers. Most of the cost for any Ja Nene product goes into the ingredients, where it belongs.

     Information regarding skin care ingredients is changing rapidly. Ja Nene uses tested and effective ingredients, not the latest "hype" that may eventually prove harmful. For this reason, Ja Nene uses a range of naturally derived preservatives for different products. Each label shows, in decending order, all ingredients used. We don't use parabens, alcohol, propylene glycol, animal tested ingredients, artificial colors or chemical fragrances. We use globally approved Optiphen Plus as a preservative in all lotions, Sodium Hydroxymethylglycinate (long word for a safe, naturally derived preservative, I know) for liquid cleansers, Rosemary Extract for oil blends, and Essential Oil of Pink Grapefruit as a natural bactericide.
