Kava Kava (or 'awa in Hawaiian) has long been made into a relaxing drink. It is well known for its pain killing properties, and ability to induce a state of near euphoria when ingested. Kava Kava is a known analgesic and relaxant.
In a lotion or salve, it calms nerves and relaxes muscles. This lotion is perfect for soothing tired or painful muscles and relaxing tight ones. Not recommended for children or pregnant/nursing moms as there is no safety research on them. This lotion ontains tiny root particles and is naturally colored a very dark brown. (Kava, the drink, looks a lot like mud!) This not your usual "white" bread lotion - but if you want results, you won't care. Recently, a couple of our customers reported they used it on their skin after it was itching from poison oak. They said the itching went away and, after a day or two, so did the poison oak! We can't guarantee those kind of results for everyone, but hope to hear more in the future as more people use it.
