Recent testimony: After going through chemotherapy, my hair grew back thin and frizzy. I used Ja Nene SLS-free shampoo and conditioner and after only a month or so, my hair was growing thicker. After only 3 months, it had to be cut because it was getting too long! I get many compliments on my hair. Many of my friends started using it, too, and they love it. No one believes I'm 90 years old! What is SLS? It stands for sodium lauryl (or laureth) sulfate. This chemical is in most cleansers and shampoos, dish detergents, and many other products that need bubbling action for cleaning. The problem is that it has been proven harmful and is only allowed in "rinse-off" personal products. I defy anyone to show me that absolutely ALL of the shampoo or conditioner we apply gets rinsed off and none of it absorbs while we're shampooing. The residue left behind can not only result in unhealthy hair, it can cause disease long-term. And they want us to use this when we're recovering from cancer or other diseases? Please, please - even if you don't buy this product from me, consider using SLS-free products as much as possible, especially if recovering from cancer. For more information about SLS, research the database at Environmental Working Group. Thanks and Good Health to you.
